Marina Barrage & NDP rehearsal

Picnic day with the girls at Marina Barrage. The thing I like about Marina Barrage is the 'restorative' environment that allow people to lay back & away from all the harsh attention of our hustling city life.

The sky is cleared of kites by the crew because the National Day's Rehearsals are starting and there will be
some fly-pass by several air units.

The sky was like a beautiful painting that day.

The happy people.

The Red Lions parachute team doing their thing.

Tranquility.

Directly above us.

I heard a whistle being blown & kites from everywhere started rising into the sky again.
Everyone's attention were taken away by this long tail cobra-like kite.

After 15mins of  performance, the cobra crashed & got tangled.

The firework started when we went down to the ground floor. What luck!

Some of the cute selcas we took before leaving the place. Directed by the pro Miss Q.

Jeongdong-jin & Gyeongju Day 1

Reached Jeongdong-jin in the wee hours for the sunrise. The wind was chilly & I'm half-awake. The first thing we did when we got down the train was to go get a hot beverage to warm up our body at a nearby convenience store. They even have this sunrise timer so that people would not miss it, 5:21am.

Did some exploring around the area before the sun rises.

The skies were gloomy and the weather was pretty foggy in the distant. Chances of witnessing the sun rising were very slim.

I swear I was freezing at this point of time even with every inch of skin covered.

Look, a ship on the top of a slope. I heard that it was a hotel, unique!

The sky got brighter gradually with no signs of the sun rising from the horizon. The sun must have secretly rose behind the thick fog & clouds. Damned!

No sun rise but the brightly lit place seems better.

Don't know what vehicle was this by the tracks but the seats were wet so I did not climb on it.

My first close encounter with real train tracks.

The view from the bus stop that sheltered us from the cold rain.

On the bus to our next destination, Gyeongju.

Arrival at Gyeongju, finally the rain stopped.

Seek help from the Gyeongju information counter. The nice counter lady speaks english & wrote me a note for me to show it to the bus driver regarding the stop that I need to alight to get to my hotel =)

Bus #10, 11 or 700. Below is the name of the stop.

Walking to the hotel, raining again.

Kolon Hotel, Gyeongju.

We left our stuffs in the room & headed straight for lunch. Mad cold and hungry! We ate in the hotel restaurant because we had too much rain in the morning. The restaurant was empty! My friend joked " Did you reserve the whole place?"
