The translation:RT @tenkijp: There was an earthquake of largest seismic intensity 7 in northeast district. Seismic intensity 5 or less is observed even in Tokyo. Because aftershock is continued, at the area whose shaking is large, please evacuate to the safe place. http://tenki.jp/
At that time it was reported 7 but later news said it was a 8.9 magnitude earthquake! After this my twitter time-line became quite chaotic. Almost everyone were tweeting with #prayforjapan. I followed a guy, @tokyoreporter on twitter and got the live updates from him about the current conditions in Japan,in english.
I sent a tweet to my Japanese friend, she replied that she was safe. She was in the west when the disaster happened in the North-east. Although so, she still experienced the tremor. She was tensed up and could not believe what was happening in her country at that point of time but at least she was unhurt.
Footage taken in Sendai airport during the tsunami
The muddy water was sweeping vehicles along the road at alarming speed.

I also saw this photo from 1 of the tweets: In Saitama
The road split!
I saw on the news earlier that Japan had suffered from 125 after-shocks from the quake and that explains why the japanese were still quite shocked.
Tokyo Disneyland was also badly affected with about 30,000 people stuck in there.
Let's continue praying for japan and hope they get over this devastating catastrophe soon. #prayforjapan♥
*footage & photos were from various online sources & twitter.
